The Chinnor Beer festival was another great success this summer, with some fantastic local brewery’s and bands on board to keep everyone entertained. The event took place on Saturday 27th August on the playing fields in Chinnor and is organised by a team of Chinnor residents to raise money for the Youth of of the Parish. The winter event in February this year raised over £600 for the club and organisers are very optimistic about a much bigger total from this summer’s festival.

The event was kicked off by the Chinnor Brass Band, followed by young local talent Megan, Ellie Ruddock, French Connection, Bootleggers, and The Muttz Nuttz. The finale from The MFU was outstanding, and they played on well past the 7pm deadline as guests danced the evening away.

The Festival showcased over 20 fantastic locally brewed Beer, Ale and Cider, with tasting notes to accompany the wide selection. Luckily, there was also a great selection of food to line your stomach including a BBQ and some fantastic indian food. There was also Pimms and a variety of soft drinks, face painting, a giant inflatable slide and sweets to keep the children entertained.

As always, the festival was a fantastic success, and we can’t wait for the winter festival in 2012. To keep up to date, find out more about how to apply for a grant or get involved, go to http://www.chinnorbeerfest.org.uk/.
