The team at The Thatch in Thame have good cause to celebrate today after smashing the current world record for the most cappuccinos made in an hour. As part of Macmillan’s ‘world’s biggest coffee morning’, the pub’s baristas steamed up an amazing 123 cappuccinos between 10am and 11am this morning, beating the current record of 106. All donations for the coffees are going straight to Macmillan Cancer Support with the pub raising £174 at the last count.

“This was the first time we’d ever attempted to do anything like this and so many neighbours and friends of the pub came down to support us; it was amazing,” comments Frazer Sutherland, owner, The Thatch. “To beat the world record was a brilliant feeling but we are most delighted with the amount we were able to raise for such a good cause, Macmillan Cancer Support.”
