1: Old, New, Borrowed and Blue.
On October 9th, Ice the Cake are doing it again! After the enormous success of their Charity Wedding Fayre at the Thame Barns Centre in June they are now running another fabulous event to raise money for Cancer Research UK, this time at The Spread Eagle Hotel, Thame.

Something Old’ – lovingly donated items from previous weddings for you to purchase on the day.  ‘Something New’ – we have a wonderful variety of carefully selected friendly, local wedding suppliers exhibiting.  ‘Something Borrowed’ – an area for you to share ideas as well as items for hire.  Finally ‘Something Blue’ – you’ll find inspiration for your something blue throughout the fayre.  With a wide variety of exhibitors and many interactive elements to the event including ‘live’ demonstrations from Xcelerate Fitness & Make-up Artist Caroline Delmonte we aim to create a fabulous experience for the entire Wedding Party.


Entry is FREE, Hotel Parking is FREE and there is a FREE Prize Draw. In addition to this one lucky Bride to Be will win our VIP Entry competition. The Prize is VIP entry for two people and includes a glass of Prosecco on arrival, 3 course set menu lunch and bottle of house wine in the Hotels restaurant as well as other goodies on the day. 2: 7th and 8th October – Chinnor Rugby Club Beer Festival; At Chinnor Rugby Club, Kingsey Road, Thame
The Fantastic Chinnor Rugby Club Beer Festival is back! The event kicks off on Friday evening with a German themed with live band from 6pm to midnight. Saturday is Irish-themed with more live music, children’s activities and BBQ. Bar open from 11am to midnight. Tickets are just £5 to include free glass and your first beer!

Autumn Menu Tasting at 7.30pm for the now famous Thatch menu tasting pub club. Never has so much fun and knowledge been shared on a school night. The Thatch Head Chef, Paul, will guide guests through his new menu and myself and my glamorous assistants will be following close behind with a glass or three of wine. As always this will be in a dinner party setting with all like minded foodies sitting down to enjoy all the good stuff served.
