After the great success of last years Thame Town Carnival, it really is time to don those disco shoes and celebrate! This year’s theme for the fantastic Thame Town Carnival is Disco Fever, and the crowds are expected to be bigger and better than ever! Our film showcases last year’s event, where surprise guest Peter Andre gave out the prize for best float, and joined in with tug of war fun, so who knows what may happen at this year’s carnival!!

On Saturday, 16th June the whole town will come to a standstill as we celebrate in a festival of colour, music and fun for the town’s residents and visitors. The local community has been fantastic this year, with many businesses and organisations donating time and equipment for free – helping local charities benefit even more from the carnival. Last year, the carnival not only gave residents and visitors a great day of fun, it also raised £4,600.00 for charity. With the fantastic support of everyone, the carnival hopes to smash that total this year. There is already a fantastic amount of support, in particular from Thame Service Station, Black Horse Hotel and Pub, Brothers and as the carnival’s main sponsors.

The excitement begins with the parade at midday, with schools, residents and businesses dressing up and parading through town centre. Then follow the parade to Southern Road Recreation Ground where they party will just be getting started. Entertainment includes some fantastic Bands, Music, a DJ, Climbing Wall, Classic Cars, Tug of War, Dog Show, Food Stalls, Face Painting, and Amusements. All in all the carnival promises to be a fantastic event for all the family!

The best parade entry will win a cup engraved with the winner’s name, so make sure your part of this year’s Thame Carnival. To be part of the big carnival contact
