Thame born and bred Zara Canfield is now a student at Brunel University and has taken on the challenge of a lifetime. Zara will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this summer in aid the charity Childreach International. The charity she is pioneering for provide sustainable solutions to child poverty worldwide. Zara’s fundraising to date has put her in the top 20 fundraisers for the charity this year. She also received a personal letter of thanks from the CEO of the charity Firoz Patel.

She has a target of £2650 but has already gone beyond this by raising nearly £4000. She explains how “in taking upon this challenge I have learnt a lot more about myself, and about the importance of supporting children around the world who struggle day to day. I hope I can help make a difference, however small, to the lives of children in the countries the charity supports”.
