This Saturday marks the third annual Stone Sausage and Beer Festival, and this year it’s bigger and better than ever!
Since 2014 Adam and Julie Rossiter have been organising beer festivals in their garden for friends and family for The Chiltern Avenue Sausage & Beer Festival. The event has grown year on year, with them selling a massive 288 pints of ale and cider last year, they even received coverage in CAMRA’s Swan Supping Magazine.
Adam explained his decision to move to the recreation ground this year, explaining that “A lot of our guests said that it had grown so much that we should do it on the field, invite the public and raise money for the village. So that is exactly what we are doing”

All funds go towards the Jubilee Pavilion and recreation ground

This year, the event is held at Stone Recreation Ground and Jubilee Pavilion from 1pm. The event has a fantastic local focus, with real ale and cider from fantastic local breweries. XT brewery from Long Crendon also offered to lend Adam and Julie the equipment and help with firkins, many different sausages from fantastic local butchers, and there’s additional support from local companies sponsoring an ale at the event.

Fantastic live entertainment

There’s of course a fantastic selection of ale and cider,  a Pimms and Fizz bar, red and white wine, but there’s also a fantastic range of entertainment on offer throughout the day. Ben Moseby from the Mix 96 breakfast show will be kicking off the event, there’s great live bands, kids activities and even a sausage eating competition! Entry is just £5 for adults and FREE for children, with all proceedings going towards the recreation ground charity to help “brighten up the village and maintain the recreation ground itself” So grab a sausage and sample some beer, the all new stone fest is here!
