Thame TV was created to provide a community focused online channel, celebrating Thame’s people, businesses, events and history in the form of high quality, enjoyable and informative programming. The website,  was launched on the 18th October 2010 and features one new programme every four weeks, allowing us to produce programmes of a broadcast standard, with great attention to detail and care over the quality of the shots.

The feature programmes will focus on a wide variety of subjects from local history and documentaries, to school and community programmes, business tips and how – to videos, and highlights from high profile local events.

Thame TV provides filming of events, charities and community projects for free and will cover as diverse a range of projects as possible. To fund this public filming, all Scissor Paper Stone staff give their time and use of equioment for free, and a small proportion of unavoidable costs are covered either through fundraising or business sponsorship. Any profits Thame TV receive go back into the project to fund research and development, and allow the company to provide training to local students, and to support local charities and organisations.

Thame TV could not run without the support of it’s parent company Scissor Paper Stone Ltd who create the website, produce photography and make the programmes you have been watching.

The MD, Emma Lowndes has lived in and around Thame for 26 years and developed the website to showcase the area, it’s businesses, services and fantastic people. More information about both Scissor Paper Stone and Emma can be viewed by clicking on Scissor Paper Stone and Emma Lowndes links in the drop-down menu.
